We are Proud of Our Commitment to Community

Our primary response area encompasses over 300 square miles, 2 highways (California Highway 1 and California Highway 46), and over 7,000 residents plus and an estimated 1 million visitors each year. Our response area extends from California Highway 1 North of Cayucos (Villa Creek) all the way to the Monterey/San Luis Obispo County line. The response area extends inland approximately 15 miles, following the Santa Lucia Mountain range. The CCHD also maintains a contract to provide emergency medical services into the South Coastal Zone of Monterey County, which includes a coastal area extending up to the community of Pacific Valley.

We regularly transport to 3 local hospital emergency rooms, including a Level III Trauma Center and STEMI Center.
